Colby Gillies

Director of Financial Planning

Colby Gillies joined the team  in May 2020. After graduating from Utah Valley University with a bachelor’s degree in finance in 2019, he worked in operations at Goldman Sachs for about one year before joining the Elevated team. In his current role, Colby handles all trade execution on behalf of the firm and works with our investment committee to provide an adapting strategy for our clients.

Colby is also progressing through the CFA program and has successfully passed levels I and II with hopes of passing level III in the near future. The CFA program includes three rigorous exams that test a candidate’s knowledge on a wide array of financial topics from equity research and portfolio management to economics and quantitative analysis among many other subjects. Colby plans to use the skills and tools from the CFA program to better serve our investment community and to improve the investment strategies offered to our clients.
