2024 Summer Newsletter: Kansas City
On the Move This Summer
Summer is coming into full swing and that means it’s time for summer travel. Whether it’s to the neighbor’s backyard for a cookout or across the world for that bucket-list European cruise, summer is the season to be on the move. With this in mind, we want to share with you some ways in which you may approach your future retirement journey with a twist, and also some ways in which to save some tax dollars so you can focus more of your money on fun and not unnecessary tax payments.
Before we do all of this, I want to share with you one of the simplest yet most summer-ish things you can do for yourself. Find a nice soft patch of grass in your yard and just lay down in it and look up to the blue sky. And just rest. As silly as that may sound, there’s just nothing so simple that provides such perspective as taking in the big blue sky with the earth under you. With everything that’s going on in the world, sometimes it’s these small acts of solace that get us through it with just a bit of needed refreshment.
Oh, if you’re an older adult, keep in mind that a passer-by may think you’ve fallen, so maybe let someone know you’re just taking a break before you indulge.
Now that we’re relaxed, let’s consider how a ‘Hybrid Retirement Strategy’ could ease you into retirement in a less hectic and more financially-efficient manner. Check out the Briefcase Study to learn more. And in Back to the Basics, we touch on some tax planning concepts that could lower your future tax bills and raise your retirement fun quotient.
I’ve said it before and I’m sure I’ll say it again: we love serving you, and we’re so thankful for our continued relationship. We wish you a wonderful summer and look forward to seeing you soon!
