Summertime!
When we were all kids in school, summer marked the end of another school year, another formal step in our learning. We went from one grade to the next; it was neat and tidy. As adults, we continue to grow and learn, but it's not as neat and tidy now. I share this because our firm has been very active in continued education for many years. We teach retirement planning classes to help people learn how income planning, investment management, tax strategies, and estate planning function as a unified whole to achieve a dignified retirement and stay retired. These sessions have allowed us to reach many people we wouldn't have otherwise, and we love that. But did you know that's not how we've met most of the families we serve? Classes are the most public-facing of our efforts, but the reality of how we most often meet great new people is much less public.
How most people find us, and what that says about trust.
People sometimes ask where our clients come from. The answer tends to surprise them, because it's simpler than they expect. It's sometimes a class, but rarely a clever marketing campaign or a perfectly designed brochure. Almost always, it starts with an ordinary conversation between two people who trust each other. A friend mentions they're thinking seriously about retirement. A sibling isn't sure what to do with an old 401(k). A coworker wonders if they're paying more in taxes to the IRS than they should be. A neighbor quietly admits they're more nervous about the next chapter of life than they expected. And somewhere in that conversation, one of our clients says: "You may want to talk with the team we work with."
That kind of introduction means a great deal to us, not just because it helps our firm grow, but because of what is really being passed along. It's not just a phone number. It's trust. And trust is not something we take lightly.
We know many of you have people in your lives facing important decisions right now. Some are approaching retirement. Others are already retired but feel like the pieces of their plan aren't quite working together. Some are thinking about taxes, income, healthcare, or estate planning, and wondering whether they're really on track. You don't need to evaluate whether they're a perfect fit for us, or explain our process, or diagnose their situation. You can simply say: "We've worked with Elevated Retirement Group, and they've been helpful for us. If you'd ever like a second set of eyes, I'd be happy to make an introduction."
That's enough. We take it from there, carefully and without pressure. We'll listen, try to understand what they're navigating, and be honest about whether and how we can help.
The people we serve best are serious about planning and looking for clarity around the decisions that define retirement: income, investments, taxes, healthcare, and estate planning. They're not looking for quick answers. They're looking for a thoughtful, coordinated approach, and a team they can trust.
We're grateful for the opportunity to work alongside you. The planning we do together matters because it supports the people and the future you've worked so hard to build. When you introduce someone you care about to our team, we'll treat that introduction with the same care and respect we'd want for our own family.
